I call the screencollage on this page a "homage to bsamp" because of his use of all the thumbs on the page to make a collage showed me how to do this. This is my first whack at it. Each Thumb Theme is about "PIXELS" & they are meant to be clicked and looked at.

One thing I have discovered - is that the graphics in the thumbs need to be bigger than these little pixel themes in order to work well visually in the collage as a whole. So looking at this now that I’ve got it all up here - I think it might be more of an "Installation" than a Collage.

There other thing of course is that posting new pictures destroys the collage. This is a very perishable medium. And a lot of work. The effort that bsamp puts into these things is phenomenal.

The Fotolog Software – which structures image order by date - makes it very difficult to “Theme” groups of pictures together. I think a lot of loggers might want to easily change the order of photographs in their archives. You could move previous images up that relate to the current one etc. Or once you get them up & discover some other order is visually more pleasing or logical – be able to easily change it. It would make image display & storytelling more fluid.

The Fotolog Browser has a lot of blind spots - which I have written about in my little essay below on screen identities.
